Skills usedDemonstrating Self Management Skills:-
In reality, the personal project helped me build my time management skills. Towards the start of the project, I was pretty cool about the tasks and thought I could gradually finish it all, but as work kept accumulating, I understood that I had to stop wasting time and just get on with my work. I wanted to get a jump start on all my tasks; to make sure I didn't let go of it, I made weekly google notifications that reminded me of the tasks I needed to finish. And all of this benefited so much, I submitted everything on time, I did not miss the deadline, and I was able to have a good year 11 because of that. Process journals and action plans have helped me immensely to keep track of my product and ensure that I reached deadlines. Affective Skills:- When designing such projects, it is crucial that I have a personal link to the subject. As described earlier, when I finished my project concept, I was puzzled between a variety of different themes. However, after a lot of brainstorming and testing, I was able to choose mental health and well-being as my subject. Mental wellbeing is a sensitive subject that is really important to all, but there is so much stigma surrounding it. I was inspired to create a safe space where people could speak about their mental health without being criticized for it. This research topic has enabled me a lot to develop my own personality and to not worry about society and to think more about myself. Hence I hope my app will be a safe space for teens and young adults as they are the ones who are impacted the most by society and are afraid to build their own identity. Reflective skills:- Reflecting on my process in the process journals and the action plan has helped me a lot to develop my own voice, to deepen my theme as well. In every process journal entry, I write I focus on the tasks I've completed because then I can see all the challenges and tasks I've been able to achieve so far. Since the personal project was a new subject for us, I made a lot of mistakes when I was doing the project. I've been objectively focusing on all my errors over the course, and I've been able to fix any significant problems I've had and have been efficient in achieving these tasks. Demonstrating skills:- My cognitive processes were originally inadequate but strengthened on the quest to achieving the product but towards the process. Qualitative research is a skill for me as I prefer to really consider, without it being questioned, on what to say. Since I have been able to comprehend my abilities, I have been consistent with the goals and strategies I need to establish a safe place efficiently. This venture has also strengthened my critical thinking and enhanced my existing services by exploring and learning more. As a consequence, I improved my ability to think critically, improving my ability to apply imagination and expertise. I have been able to draw clear conclusions and make sound decisions in terms of my reasoning skills. In sharing my innovative abilities, I have been able to access my mind to new possibilities and easily resolve problems and in addition, I have been able to incorporate my insights from my study into my venture. Demonstrating communication and social Skills Communications and social behavior became crucial in my venture and I had to know whether people would and wouldn't consider this blog to be worthy enough a while before I started making my blog. I wanted to figure out whether or not people will agree with this idea. Network and interpersonal skills have also become a requirement in terms of study because I had to use techniques whenever I observed people or even when I asked them what they wore. They would not just assist with the plan but enabled myself to speak to even more citizens and learn a lot that I didn't even know about for instance, i found out about a lot of teenagers having a huge concern over their mental health and being extremely stressed. I had using the same skills to exchange input with others, in particular, my mentor. Interacting freely with my mentor enabled me to speak about my opportunities and get to understand them, and I have been able to combine our experiences to construct anything greater. I believe when talking to someone, sincerity really matter and I think it would have helped me to better myself in a way because it enabled my supervisors to know what I'm doing and how I think as I was truthful with my advisor, be it about my blog, or about my supervisor's ideas. After speaking with some of my classmates, I discovered that a lot of people are too afraid to communicate their thoughts and don't make proper relationships. and that I have come to understand that interaction is not just about speaking and communicating, but also about listening to others and respecting their thoughts. |
PlanningAlthough since I have started to formulate possibilities about the decision of my ultimate decision. The brainstorm project began in April 2019, because I decided to have a solid start on the idea. Once it was accomplished, I was able to proceed and focus on how to divide down the steps for the year. I maintained a record of my activities in the method journal. Any step I took in the direction of my project, big or small; I wrote it down in the process journal to keep track. Besides, with the development of my action plan. I was constantly aware of the timeframes I set for myself. Though there were days when I was utterly exhausted or overwhelmed, I tried my hardest and was able to multitask and complete my task effectively before the deadline. One of the toughest challenges I faced was when we had several reports to write in the same week, but I managed to finish it all in time. In the early stages of my research, I concentrated mainly on using primary sources to compile my knowledge. Since mental wellbeing is a subject that needs me to do a lot of research. I started by understanding the basic descriptions of the most common mental health problems before delving into and learning more about it. For another part of my study, I wanted to ask my friends, peers, and family questions about their mental health so that I could get some solid primary evidence and research. I have also included my mental health problems so that I can interact with my global background subconsciously. I have applied these skills through researching, and also from my homeroom and moral ed classes as we have addressed these topics a lot, and we have often spoken about the stigma around these issues. With the guidance of my teachers, peers, friends, family, and all the research I've done; I've been able to understand this subject in a deeper way, which has made a big difference in creating my final product. When designing a project that includes all four requirements. All tasks must be accomplished across; each task to produce a good outcome. Like so many other topics, the parameters I developed focused on four key aspects: aesthetics, functionality, content, and audience. Aesthetics focuses specifically on how the product is produced and whether or not the preferred color palette suits the design. The functionality strand emphasizes how well the app has been developed. Finally, the content and audience strands rely primarily on how nicely the product is communicated to the target audience. |
goal and global contextMy aim for a personal project was to create a safe environment for young adults and adolescents to address their mental wellbeing and learn more about various forms of mental health. I also wanted to hear some of the perspectives and comments made by young adults and adolescents about how education, life, job, peer pressure all influences the mental health often resulting in the deterioration of physical health of these individuals. I also wanted all of this to fit into the global context. In my Global context, I have chosen personal and cultural expression, as well as identities and relationships. And this project really helps me relate to my global context, since mental health is a very sensitive issue, and people sometimes try to mask their inner thoughts and feelings so they can fit into society and cultures.
My blog will help them develop their own identity and not be something that society expects them to be. Psychology and mental health issues are very important to me, as I want to do something in psychology in the future, and I also think that mental health is a massive concern, but not everybody wants to talk about it. That's why I'm creating a safe space where people can ask questions and discuss possible solutions with all this. That's why I'm creating a safe space where people can ask questions and recognise the impact with all this. I planned to make a blog, and I'm working on it right now. I want it to be; I want it to be a good place for adolescents and young adults to write about it. When I was reading, I looked at a lot of websites and they really don't have the correct details that adolescents want, but other definitions and all, but more like textbook definitions.I don't know how to describe this, but I want my blog to become a comfortable place for teens and young adults to speak their minds |
