Why I chose this topic :-
As I was growing up at the age of seven years changing from the African continent into Middle East was a huge transition as a child. While many changes I experienced were extremely motivating and nice there was some which came with a lot of pressure. also around me I had friends and cousins dealing with similar situations. Where I felt many a Times an individual wouldn't Express what he or she feels and rather bottle up their real emotions. This totally let me thinking whether are we really happy or are we simply faking it!! Just making up a totally artificial life to impress the outside world which actually is truth was mean and does not even care about our existence.
My MYP knowledge in due course and in various aspects definitely motivated me to take up this topic and do something about this a real action was needed now, something that will let my peers, me and many others to openly Express their mental health. Issues that we keep thinking inside our mind , bring it out discuss talk and Express.
Teenage mental health did we even know existed as an issue a few years ago but now it's such a common thing. Specially with social media pressure around as each one of us wants to have a life which really does not exist!.
I chose to write about a sensitive topic like this because I have also dealt with a lot of mental health issues myself and I'm writing this blog so people can be educated on all these disorders and people who have it do not have to be shy or embarrassed for having issues like these.
Mental health issues are the type of illnesses that results in cognitive or behavioral changes or changes of habit. Many mental health issues are related to stress or other problems and don't allow a person to work mentally correctly at any age. Mental health problems are very common, but my blog will mostly focus on teenage mental health. These factors also affect our daily life and the desire to adjust and manage stress. I personally feel that mental health is a sensitive matter, as it affects everyone and has an immense effect on the lives of individuals. It also affects those around you. The basis for feelings thought, engagement, studying, endurance and personality are mental well beings. The connections and psychological well-being of individuals, and the commitment to society are often central to mental health.
There are numerous individuals who would never wish to speak about something like a mental disorder. Yet there is nothing humiliating about having a mental illness. It would be like high blood pressure or diabetes a normal medical disorder. And symptoms of mental wellbeing may be managed. Physicians and psychologists are increasingly broadening awareness of the workings of the human mind and therapies to help people handle mental wellbeing effectively.Mental illnesses do not discriminate it can happen to anyone of any age, any gender, race, color, etc. There are numerous types of mental disorders. Many such issues are moderate and meddle with everyday life in small ways, like certain fears or anxiety. Only certain disorders of mental wellbeing are so serious that they might have to go to the hospital for treatment. Society also plays a huge role in causing people to have mental health issues because society judges us a lot, expects a lot from us etc.

I have taken many steps, such as scheduling, analysis, design, product development, to establish and produce my blog/ website . I utilized my previous experience of blog writing that was used to create my finished version. To create my blog, I had to have a lot of time and patience to make it perfect. My plan was to develop a website, and then I modified it into mostly a blog forum instead. I have investigated and made a fact sheet from Google Docs that has details about all my items and has a huge amount of research into the various forms of mental health problems.
I was in the process of creating a website named 'We are all mad,' that mostly explores and offers opinions on relevant forms of mental health issues. A safe place for young people where they are not criticized and are safe. The emphasis of my blog is more on young people and is a blog application, so they can seek information on mental health, post questions, and interact. It was a little difficult to make the application because it requires a significant amount of patience to ensure it’s perfect and has nothing that needs to be fixed. This transition made it much easier for me, but it was also a struggle to maintain a steady path, so the problem was not really for me to create in time, it would be to be capable of fulfilling my objective of creating a comfortable haven for teenagers to speak about mental health and not be questioned |
